In Punjab, three day annual Urs started at Sirhind at the tomb of Sufi saint Sheikh Ahmed Farooqui. This Urs is observed every year in the month of Safer of Muslim calendar.A large number of muslims from all parts of the country attend this Urs every year. A group of pilgrims from Bangla Desh has also reached and pilgrims from Pakistan are also expected to reach tonight.District administration has made elaborate security and other arrangements .
