In Haryana, three independent candidates who had filed their nomination papers to contest bye-election to Hisar Parliamentary Constituency, on day withdrew their names, reducing the number of contesting candidates to 45. These three are Mr. Kuldeep, Jai Singh and Pawan. Thursday is the last date to withdraw names.As many as 1506 polling stations have been set up for the by-election scheduled to be held on October 13. Out of these, 301 have been set up in urban areas and 1205 in rural areas. Giving this information at Chandigarh on Wednesday, state Chief Electoral Officer, Mrs. Sumita Mishra said that 342 polling booths have been declared as hypersensitive and 762 have been declared sensitive in the constituency.
