Three BSP MLAs extend support to Congress in Uttarakhand

The Bahujan Samaj Party, BSP will give its support to Congress in the formation of the government in Uttarakhand.Party state president Surajmal told our correspondent that they will give unconditional support to the congress in the state. He said that party chief Mayawati has directed all the three BSP MLAs to give unconditional support to the Congress. Our correspondent reports that the party would like to share power with Congress in the state.The Congress has, thus sensed, further stability to the government it is trying to make in the hill state, where three independents and one MLA from the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal have already extended support to the party which has won 32 seats in the 70-member House. According to party sources earlier, the scene was different as the three independents and the lone UKD MLA were putting up conditions in choosing the leader of congress legislative party but with the BSP support a lot of it has ease. Now, having mustered a more-than-required support, the Congress is Likely to announce the name of the leader of legislative party today. The Congress had already staked claim to form a government in the state.
