In Punjab, Counter Intelligence, Jalandhar Zone, has arrested three smugglers and recovered 8 kilogram of Heroin from their possession. The Contraband, said to be worth crores of rupees in the international market, was smuggled from Pakistan by a gang of smugglers of District Tarntaran. According to official sources, on a specific tip off that three persons from Tarn Taran District were carrying the contraband in a car to deliver it in various parts of Punjab and other places. A trap was laid near Amanatpur village in Jalandhar and they were apprehended, last evening. This is the second such case in the last one week. Earlier, the CIA staff of the Jalandhar (Rural) police had recovered 1.5 kilogram heroin from a brother-sister duo.
