Thousands striking in Israel to protest violence against women

<span style="color: #222222;">Thousands of women in Israel went on strike on Tuesday to protest what they see as the government's inadequate response to domestic violence against women.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">According to an online newspaper, hundreds of institutions, organizations and schools across Israel have allowed their employees to join the nationwide demonstrations, which blocked the traffic in Tel Aviv.</span><br />'' <br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Local media reported, the protesters demanding that the government allocate $67 million for the emergency program to prevent violence against women. As many as 24 women have reportedly been killed in Israel this year by a partner, a family member, or somebody they knew.</span>
