The UN refugee agency UNHCR says, thousands of people have fled Somalia's capital, Mogadishu since Wednesday. 24 people have been killed and 40 injured in violence in the city. For months now, fighting has been going on almost daily in Mogadishu. Somalia has been wrecked by violence for much of the past 20 years and did not have a functional central government since 1991. <br/>
