In Gujarat, more than 20 thousand people have been evacuated from the Kandly, Tuna, Naliya and other parts of the coastal line in view of severe cyclonic storm PHET which may likely to hit the coastal areas of Kutch and Saurashtra by late this evening. <br/><br/>Quoting State Government's sources, AIR Bhuj correspondent reports that people living in the low-laying areas from Koteshwar to Porbandar near the sea, have been shifted to safer places. <br/><br/>Senior State Government officers have been rushed to the affected areas to monitor the situation. The State Government has cancelled all official programmes and concentrated entire State machinery to watch the movement of PHET.
