In Gujarat, thousands of blind and physically handicapped people have took out a protest rally in the state capital Gandhinagar demanding full implementation of Central Act-1995 for physically handicapped. The president of the State Handicapped Association Mr. Labhubhai Sonani alleged that about 50 thousand handicapped students have been deprived from the education despite the hundred percent central assistance. AIR Ahmedabad Correspondent Yogesh Pandya reports that thousands of blind and physical handicapped people-many of them in wheel chair have shouted slogans in favor of their demands despite the heavy showers in Gandhinagar.
