Third T20 World Cup Cricket Tournament for Blind to begin today at Tau Devi Lal Indoor Stadium, Gurugram

The third T20 World Cup Cricket Tournament for the Blind will be inaugurated at Tau Devi Lal Indoor Stadium in Gurugram this afternoon, December 5. 

The participating nations are Australia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and the host, India. 

A total of 150 players will participate in the tournament. A total of 24 matches will be played in 9 cities across the country. 

On day one of the tournament tomorrow, three matches will be played, India will take on Nepal at 10 a.m. in Sledge Hammer Ground in Faridabad; Australia will clash with Sri Lanka at 9.30 am in DDA Siri Fort Sports Complex and Pakistan will meet South Africa at 9.30 a.m. at Saket Ground, New Delhi.
 
The tournament is being organised to mark the World Disability Day celebrations universally. Former Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh is the brand ambassador of the tournament.

Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) in association with Samarthanam Trust for the disabled, has been organising this championship since 2012.
