Third party monitoring Mechanism to asses the development work in J&K

Jammu and Kashmir has put an external third party monitoring Mechanism has been put in place for the first time to assess the progress of development works. This was stated by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday <br/><br/>Underscoring the importance of proper monitoring to achieve physical targets at two separate meetings of Doda and Kishtwar District Development Boards. The Chief Minister said about 500 Projects are being monitored through NABCOM in the state to ascertain their physical and financial status. He said the step has been taken to ensure the judicious spending of funds to create dependable public service infrastructure in consonance with the plan allocations. <br/><br/> <br/>The Chief Minister also said he was going to take final appraisal of the unspent funds next week so that their utilization was worked out accordingly/ The Chief Minister also directed the district administrations to identify the areas especially in education and health sectors where expansion was required.<br/>
