India have ended their three-Test Cricket series against South Africa with even honours, with the final Test at Cape Town ending in a draw. Set a stiff victory target of 340 runs, India were 166 for 3 in their second innings on the final day yesterday when the two sides decided to call off the play as the match was certain to end in a draw. Sachin Tendulkar on 14, and V.V.S. Laxman on 32 were the two not out batsmen. The batsmen out were Virender Sehwag for 11, Gautam Gambhir for 64 and Rahul Dravid – 31. The hosts had won the first Test at Centurion, while India emerged winners in the second match at Durban. The final scores: South Africa – 362 and 341.India – 364 and 166 for 3.
