There should not be any outside interference to Afghanistan crisis: VP

The Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari on Saturday said there should not be any outside interference to the Afghanistan crisis. Speaking to reporters on board the special aircraft returning from Istanbul, Ansari said, India always wanted that the solution should be Afghan led one.

Ansari who was on a five day visit to Turkey said the relations between the two countries are substantive. He said there should be more people to people contact to enhance bilateral, economic and commercial ties between the two nations.

Earlier, Ansari has urged the Turkish business community to harness the huge untapped potential between he two countries to increase bilateral economic engagements.

Addressing the Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkey, Mr. Ansari said India has earmarked one trillion US dollar for infrastructure development for over the next five years from 2012.

Mr. Ansari said the visit to Turkey was a substantive one.

During his five days visit to Turkey, he was accompanied by Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Mukul Wasnik and four Members of Parliament including Sitaram Yechury.
