The Centre says, there is prima facie a very strong case of fraud against liquor baron Vijay Mallya. The statement comes amid reports that Mallya's lawyers told a UK court that India has no evidence against him. <br/><br/>A source in the Government said the conduct of Vijay Mallya especially before the Apex Court and other courts were also highlighted to drive home the fact that Mallya has to answer about his dishonest intentions in the contempt proceedings against him in the Supreme Court of India. <br/><br/>The 61-year old Mallya wanted in India on charges of fraud and money laundering, was in the dock at Westminister Magistrates' Court for his defence. Mallya, arrested by Scotland Yard on extradition warrants, has been out on bail on a bond.
