Union Animal Husbandry Minister Parshottam Rupala has said that there is an urgent need to promote a cow-based economy in the country and promote natural farming while controlling the increasing use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. He said that there is a need to make farmers aware of the new techniques of agriculture. Mr. Rupala was addressing at Mallinath Cattle Fair at Tilwara in Barmer Rajasthan today. On this occasion, Mr. Rupala said that by promoting products made of camel milk at present, the coming generation can be saved from becoming a victim of malnutrition.<br />''<br />''On this occasion Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Kailash Chowdhary said a national-level millet research institute will soon be established at Gudamalani in Barmer district. Earlier, both the ministers visited the agricultural exhibition in the fair ground premises. Progressive farmers and best animal herders were honored in the programme.<br />
