<span style="color: #222222;">Information and Broadcasting Secretary Amit Khare today said, there has been tremendous growth in the broadcasting sector. He was addressing the International Conference and Exhibition on Terrestrial and Satellite Broadcasting organised by Broadcast Engineering Society in New Delhi.  Mr Khare said, the Ministry is working on bringing a national policy on broadcasting. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Secretary said broadcasting is a growth sector and technology advancement is bringing new opportunities as well as challenges. He said, because of changing technology and new revolutions, more than a billion people have access to radio in the country. Mr Khare said, the broadcasting sector has witnessed a double-digit growth and the reach of national channels have increased substantially. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking on the occasion, TRAI chairman R S Sharma said, huge technological development is taking place in the broadcasting sector. About three hundred broadcast, equipment manufacturers companies and broadcast professionals are participating in the expo. </span><br />
