The Commonwealth Games theme song “Jiyo Bhado Utho Jeeto” was unveiled at a glittering Swagatam ceremony at Gurgaon yesterday by Oscar Award winner A. R. Rahman, who has also composed the song. He enthralled the audience with the inspiring and exciting song. Speaking on the occasion, Rahman hoped that the people will like the theme song and the spirit of the games will prevail in right earnest. Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dixit expressed the hope that the Commonwealth Games in India will be the best and the most memorable. Chief Minister of Haryana Bhupendra Singh Hooda said that the Commonwealth Games will be celebrated like a festival and the festivities have begun. The chairman of the organising committee Suresh Kalmadi described the occasion as turning point for the Games which will begin from the 3rd of October.
