The Dalai Lama arrives at Tawang today

Arunachal Pradesh will receive the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama this morning. He will arrive at Tawang from Guwahati by helicopter. He will be received by the Chief Minister Mr. Dorjee Khandu and members of the reception committee. In Tawang, Tibetan motifs are lined up to welcome the Dalai Lama on his sixth visit to the state. After his arrival, the Dalai Lama will proceed to the world famous Tawang monastery. He will deliver religious discourses in Tawang, Dirang, Bomdila and Itanagar. Besides, the religious leader will also inaugurate a library and a state-of-the-art hospital in Tawang. The state government has made elaborate security arrangements for the Dalai Lama's visit.
