Tharoor urges Omani businessmen to invest in india

The Minister of state for external affairs Shashi Tharoor has urged the Omani businessmen to make best use of the huge investment opportunity available in India. Addressing the Omani Indian Joint Business Council at the OCCI in Oman, on sunday, he said return on investment on an enduring basis are far more higher in India than anywhere else. He added that the World Bank has projected an 8 per cent growth for India in 2010, which will make it one of the fastest-growing economy. He praised the OCCI and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci) for playing a pivotal role in enhancing trade between the two countries. He describing his meetings with the Omani deputy prime minister and other ministers as fruitful and said that Oman-India relations are poised to reach greater heights. He also met Indian workers at Indian Embassy and discussed the issues related to them.
