Tharoor meets Cabinet ministers on IPL controversy

The IPL controversy surrounding Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor took another twist with the minister having allegedly received a death threat asking him to stay clear of the Kochi franchise. <br/><br/>One man has been detained by the Central Security agencies for sending the threatening SMS. <br/><br/>The SMS sent to the Minster’s close aid asked Mr Tharoor to stay out of IPL as Dawood Ibrahim Company is involved in it. <br/><br/>Police are investigating the matter.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Mr Tharoor on Wednesday night met Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Defence Minister A K Antony as the controversy surrounding him in the IPL snowballed with opposition demanding his sacking.<br/><br/>Mr Tharoor met the two Ministers at Mukherjee's residence for nearly an hour after which he left without speaking to waiting newsmen. <br/><br/>Mr Tharoor earlier yesterday ruled out his resignation on the IPL issue saying that he has not done anything wrong or misused office. <br/>
