In Kerala, the CBI today filed chargesheet against eight CPI-M activists in connection with the Thalassery Muhammed Fasal murder case. The chargesheet was filed before the Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court at Ernakulam.
N K Sunil Kumar alias Kodi Suni, wanted by the police in connection with the murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party leader T P Chandrasekharan is the first accused in the case. Other accused include CPI-M local leaders Karayi Rajan and Karayi Chandrasekharan.
Fasal was murdered in October 2006 at Thalassery, after he switched allegiance from the CPI-M and joined the National Development Front (NDF).
