India's B Sai Praneeth has entered the Men's Singles final of the Thailand Grand Prix Gold badminton tournament. In the semi-final in Bangkok today, third seeded Praneeth comfortably beat Pannawit Thongnuam of the host nation in straight games 21-11 21-15 in 36 minutes. In the summit clash, Praneeth will take on fourth seeded 19-year-old Indonesian Jonatan Christie, who defeated Joo Ven Soong of Malaysia 21-9 21-18 in another semifinal match. In the Women's Singles semi-final, however, London Olympic bronze medallist Saina Newhal, lost to Thailand's Busanan Ongbamrungphan 19-21, 18-21.
