In the pre-quarter-final match, she defeated Mitani Minatsu of Japan 21-13, 15-21, 21-7. In the Men's section, P. Kashyap and Sourabh Verma advanced to the last eight stages by beating their rivals in the pre-quarterfinal matches. R.M.V. Gurusai Dutt and Ajay Jayaram have bowed out of the competition. In the doubles, the duo of Jwala Gutta and Aswini Ponnappa and the men's pair comprising Rupesh Kumar and Sanave Thomas made their exit.
