In Thailand, security forces have surrounded a hotel where Red Shirt anti-government protest leaders are staying. <br/><br/>Thai Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban said the police were there to catch terrorists, a term used by the government for hardcore leaders. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, a Red Shirt leader said the protesters camped out in the city were moving towards the area of the SC Park Hotel. <br/><br/>The protests, now in their fifth week and are trying to force new elections in the country. <br/><br/>There are conflicting reports on whether the two protest leaders, Phayup Panket and Suporn Atthawong, have been arrested or have escaped from the hotel. <br/><br/>Reports say, a third leader made a dramatic escape attempt. <br/>
