Security forces in Thailand have fired rubber bullets on demonstrators in the capital, Bangkok, as they tried to end a month-long anti-government campaign for new elections. More than 90 people were injured in the clashes, including a number of soldiers and police. Hundreds of troops and police have massed in the central Bangkok to try to regain control of parts of the city, brought to standstill by the protests.
