The Thailand Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has said that order has been restored to the capital Bangkok and throughout the country. Mr Abhisit said the government will move swiftly to restore normalcy following a week of violence which left more than 50 people dead. In a televised address he said reconciliation efforts will continue to address the political divisions.Violence broke out last week as the army moved in to end a weeks-long protest by anti-government red shirts. Bangkok Metropolitan Administration today said, the death toll from recent clashes between the troops and red-shirt protesters has risen to 52. More than 400 people have been injured during the six days of violence.
