The death toll from clashes between the government troops and red-shirt protesters in Thai capital since May 14 has risen to 37. <br/><br/>According to the Erawan emergency center of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, so far 37 people were killed and a total of 282 people were wounded in the clashes in Bangkok. <br/><br/>The clashes occurred as the government decided to seal off the downtown area which the red-shirt protesters had occupied since early April. <br/><br/>The protesters demand Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva to dissolve the parliament and to hold snap elections.
