Thai court releases 7 red-shirt core leaders on bail

Thai Criminal Court on Tuesday released on bail seven red-shirt core leaders and a member after they were detained during crackdown in May last year. They were released on the condition that they must not leave the country or instigate violence. Each person has to put about 19,600 U.S. dollars at security. The anti-government protesters occupied Bangkok's central business zone for more than one month and called for the government to dissolve the parliament and hold fresh election. The demonstration ended after a week-long confrontation with the troops and many red-shirt core members were charged with terrorism.
