Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thaawarchand Gehlot today expressed concern on the deteriorating safety and security condition of senior citizens. Addressing newly constituted National Council of Senior Citizens in New Delhi, Mr. Gehlot said that efforts are going on to increase the nominal amount of Old Age pension. <br/><br/>Mr. Gehlot announced that now onwards Vridhashram will be called Vriddh Jan Grih, where all facilities of recreation and entertainment for the senior citizens will be available.<br/><br/>Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale and officials of ministry were present on the occasion.
