Textiles Ministry today signed an MoU with company Flipkart in New Delhi, to provide online marketing platform to handloom weavers to boost the sector. Speaking on the occasion, Textile Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar said it will empower the weavers and boost manufacturing in the country. He said, the company, Flipkart will provide online marketing platform, infrastructural support in data analytics and customer acquisition to help weavers to get remunerative prices for their products and scale up their business. Mr Gangwar said, periodic review of the sales and progress of the weavers in the targeted clusters will also be carried out.
