Test-firing of Barak-8 missile to continue for second day

After successful test firing of surface-to-air missile "Barak-8" from Chandipur, Odisha Coast yesterday, it has been re-scheduled for another round of test fire today. However, due to bad weather the test has been delayed due to bad weather. <br/><br/>Residents of about seven villages have been asked to stay in temporary camps away from the testing side for one or two days more in view of possible testing any time today or tomorrow. The missile has been built with the joint effort of India and Israel and it is capable of carrying atomic weapons.

Test-firing of Barak-8 missile to continue for second day

The test-fire of new long range surface-to-air ballistic missile Barak-8 will continue on the second day today from Integrated Test Range launch pad at Chandipur off Odisha coast. The Indo-Israel joint venture missile is having multi-functional surveillance and threat alert radar was successfully test fired twice from the Range yesterday. <br/>Earlier, this year Barak-8 was successfully test-fired twice on 30th June and once on 1st July.
