New Delhi says that the terrorists training camps in Pakistan are being run near the army base which is a grave cause of concern. Talking to reporters after presenting Raksha Mantri Award for Excellence, the Defence Minister, Mr. A.K. Antony said that the relation between India and Pakistan cannot improve unless concerted action is taken against the terrorists and their infrastructure is dismantled. Earlier, speaking at the function, he asserted that Research and Development will be given priority in the Defence production. This, he noted, is essential to meet the fast growing changes in the Defence equipment across the globe. Mr. Antony called for development of indigenous Defence industry as India is still importing 70 per cent of Defence equipments. The statement comes close on the heels of the decision by the government to put in practice new Defence acquisition policy which enables Indian public and private sector Defence companies to compete in the global market. The Defence Minister gave away awards to different PSUs producing Defence equipment for their excellent performance in the areas of design, innovation and other related fields.<br/>
