Terrorists getting 'State' support: Chidambaram

The Home Minister today said that the capacity of the terrorists operating from across the border to strike places in India is high because they are getting state support . In an apparent reference to Pakistan , Mr P Chidambaram said that challenge before the security forces is that the source of terror lies across the border. <br/><br/>He said the cities in the countries othervise are as vulnerable to terror as in any other part of the world. Stating that India has the capacity to face any challange , the Home Monister said that should there be any terror attack on the country , India's reasponse will be swiift and decisive. .<br/><br/>Descrbing the the Maoist violence as the gravest challenge , Mr Chidambaram assured that the government will free the areas held by naxals in the next two to three years. He said that the security forces are observing utmost restraint pointing out that they have instruction not to fire until they are fired upon. He was speaking at the national convention on law and justice in New Delhi today.<br/>
