A policeman was killed today and Eight civilians were injured as terrorists struck in the heart of Srinagar, entering a hotel lobbing grenades. The policeman, identified as Mohammed Yusuf who was posted as driver of the Station House Officer of Maisuma Police station, was killed during the attack. Official sources said, Eight civilians, including Rauf, a cameraman of a Delhi-based private news channel, were also injured and have been rushed to a hospital. The terrorists are believed to be holed up in the hotel adjacent to historic Amira Kadal bridge in Lal Chowk area. Exchange of fire between the militants and the security personnel is continuing.
