Terrorism and bilateral ties dominate India-Turkey talks

Terrorism and the broad spectrum of bilateral ties were discussed at the meeting between the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and the visiting President of Turkey Abdullah Gul in New Delhi on Tuesday.<br/><br/>According to sources, cooperation in the area of oil and petrol and defence were discussed among other issues at today's delegation level talks.<br/><br/>The External Affairs Minister Mr. S.M. Krishna,Petroleum Minister Mr. Murli Deora and the Minister of state for defence Mr. Pallam Raju also took part on the discussion.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent says that India attaches high importance to its bilateral relations with Turkey.<br/><br/>The Turkish President is on a five day state visit to India. He is accompanied by several ministers, members of Parliament and a large business delegation. He will also visit Agra and Mumbai.
