Terror threat for America will not go away soon, says US Prez Obama

The United States President Barack Obama at West Point Academy in New York State has said that terror threat for America will "not go away soon" while speaking of the botched car bombing attempt at New York Times Square. Obama made the remarks while delivering the commencement address to West Point cadets. The president said that the United States faces "a tough fight in Afghanistan" and that the threat from al-Qaida "will not go away soon." He told graduating cadets that "there will be difficult days ahead" in Afghanistan. Obama's speech comes when terrorists have accelerated their efforts to attack America, including the attempted Times Square car bombing last month. In his commencement address, Obama described the war against al- Qaida as a "different kind of war," noting that the terrorist group doesn't lead a nation or a religion.
