Terror attack on Chinese consulate in Karachi foiled; 7 killed

<span style="color: #222222;">In Pakistan, a terror attack targeting the Chinese Consulate situated in Karachi's Clifton area was foiled by security forces today, leaving at least seven people dead. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">According to a senior police official, the attackers fired at a check post and then detonated a hand grenade in an attempt to enter the consulate building. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">However, Consulate's security guards quickly barricaded the building to stop them from entering the building. According to Sindh Police and the army's media wing, all the three terrorists were killed in the operation by security forces. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Police officials confirmed two policemen and two Pakistani civilians among those killed. The separatist group, Baluch Liberation Army,  claimed responsibility for the attack.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In another incident today, at least 25 people were killed and 35 others injured in a blast at a Friday Market in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa province. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Police said a suicide bomber on a motorbike had driven into the crowded  Kalaya bazaar of the Aurakzai tribal district.</span><br />''
