Union Minister of State for Communications and IT Sachin Pilot today said the Telecom Engineering and Resource Monitoring Cells will begin nationwide random testing of radiations emitted by mobile towers from 16th of next month.The progress and compliance levels will be monitored centrally and non-compliance will result in fines and penalties. The Minister said this includes imposition of a penalty of 5 lakh rupees for each non-compliant tower.
