In Nepal, the term of the Constituent Assembly was extended by three months just two days before it’s term ended. The term of the Constituent Assembly will now be till the 30 November and it is the third extension. The Legislature passed the tenth amendment to the Interim Constitution by 537 votes on Monday . Only four of the Rashtriya Prajantra Party members voted against the bill. The term of the Constituent Assembly was to expire tomorrow. Deputy Prime Minister, Bijay Kumar Gacchaddar who moved the bill said that since the last two years, the constitution has not been drafted and the peace process not completed, there was no alternative but to increase the term of the Assembly. He said that the Maoist have given assurance that the peace process will be completed and hence the alliance of the Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha have joined the government. The term of the Constituent Assembly was earlier extended by a year on May 28 th last year and by three months at the last moment on the 28 th of May.
