In West Bengal, the indefinite bandh in Terai-Dooars area of North Bengal has entered second day today. Stray incidents of violence were reported from Odlabari, Banarhat in Jalpaiguri District. Three vehicles were set on fire and a truck was damaged by the bandh supporters in the area. Police arrested over hundred bandh supporters from Jaigaon for disturbing peace.AIR Correspondent reports that prohibitory orders under section 144 of the Cr.PC, have been imposed in seven police station areas of Jalpaiguri district. The bandh has hit the normal life at Kalchini, Jaigaon and Banarhat areas while rest of the places in Terai-Dooars have remained normal. The indefinite bandh has been called by the Terai-Dooars Coordination Committee, demanding inclusion of several mouzas in the proposed Gorkhaland Territorial Administration from Terai-Dooars regions of Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri districts.
