The tenure of the Joint Committee of Parliament examining the land acquisition bill has been extended upto the end of the current session. The Committee was supposed to submit its recommendations to the Lok Sabha by 27th of this month. It had sought further extension to compete its deliberations and finalise the report. The grant of extension was announced by Lok Sabha Speaker Ms Sumitra Mahajan.<br/><br/>The Committee chaired by S S Ahluwalia of the BJP, was earlier given two extensions. Allaying concerns of the member about the bill, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu said that the House will take a considerable view after the committee submits its report. Mr Naidu said, there is no confusion on the issue.
