Tension prevails in Haryana & Punjab, hit by violence by Dera Sacha Sauda followers

In Haryana, the security has been tightened after torching of buses and damaging of public property by Dera Sacha soda followers yesterday evening. Prohibitory order under section 144 has been imposed at Ambala, Karnal, Sirsa and Jind. According to Haryana DGP R.S. Dalal, the law and order situation is under control now.<br/><br/> Union Home Ministry had sent 15 companies of Para military forces to maintain law and order in Haryana and parts of Punjab. The movement of all Haryana Roadways buses has been curtailed in the sensitive areas. The drivers have been asked to park their vehicles in police stations or nearest transport depots. The movements of around 25 trains passing from Haryana to Punjab have been suspended.
