In Assam,situation remained tense following violence which broke out during Durga idol immersion in Dhubri district. The Administration has clamped indefinite curfew at Dhubri police station area from 8 pm on Thursday.State Home Secretary G D Tripathi said that army has been called in and will stage flag march today. He said stern action will be taken against the miscreants. District administration will also initiate confidence building measures among different communities. Additional police, CRPF and Border Security Force personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order situation.
