Davis Cupper Bhambri got lucky when the third seeded Italian Fabio Fagnini retired after losing the first set 2-6 and drawing level 5-5 in the second. However, Chennai lad Ramkumar Ramanathan, bowed out 2-6, 4-6 to Spain's M Grannolers.
