Tennis: World number one Serena Williams out of French Open

In yet another upset at the French Open, world number one Serena Williams has bowed out of this year's Rolland Garros. In the second round last night, the top seeded American was stunned by unseeded Garbine Muguruza of Spain, in straight sets, 2-6, 2-6. Serena's crashing out follows exit of world number two Li Na in the second round and world number three Stanislas Wawrinka in the opening round. Serena's sister, Venus Williams also made an exit after she lost to Anna Schmiedlova, 6-2, 3-6, 4-6.However, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, Agnieszka Radwanska and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga have advanced to the Singles third round.In the Doubles, the Indo-Pak team of Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi made it to the second round, after beating India's Divij Sharan and his Aussie team-mate, Rameez Junaid, 7-5, 6-7, 7-5. Bopanna and Qureshi will play their second round match today, while Sania Mirza will be seen in action in both Women's and Mixed Doubles first round.
