The top seeded pair of Sania Mirza and Yaroslava Shvedova has stormed into the doubles semifinals of the 220,000 U.S. dollar Citi Open tennis tournament. In the quarter-finals at College Park in the United States yesterday, the Indo-Kazakh pair defeated the American combination of Lindsay Lee-Waters and Megan Moulton-Levy in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. Sania, returning to action after a three-week break, had lost in the singles first round to Canadian Stephanie Dubois 5-7 4-6.
