Tennis: Sania and Mattek-Sands enter quarterfinals of Miami Open

India's Sania Mirza and her American partner Bethanie Mattek Sands have stormed into the quarterfinals of the Miami Open Tennis tournament. In its pre-quarterfinals fixture last night, the seventh seeded Indo-American pair defeated Aussie-German combination of Jarmila Gajdosova and Sabine Lisicki, 6-1, 3-6, 10-7.However, India campaign in the Men's Doubles came to an end, as Rohan Bopanna and his American team-mate Rajeev Ram crashed out, after losing to the second seeded Spanish pair of Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez, 4-6, 6-7 in the pre-quarterfinal match last night. Earlier, Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi, with their respective partners, had lost their pre-quarterfinal fixtures.Meanwhile, in the Women's Singles section, World Number One Serena Williams of the United States, Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland and China's Na Li have advanced into the quarterfinals.In the Men's Singles, second seeded Briton Andy Murray, Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic and Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga made it to the pre-quarterfinals.
