Chinese second seed Li Na swept into the Wimbledon third round with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Austria's Yvonne Meusburger today. Li, 32, will now play Russia's Elena Vesnina or Barbora Zahlavova Strycova of the Czech Republic for a place in the last 16. In another match, third seeded Venus Williams of the USA beat Japan's Kurumi Nara 7-6, 6-1. Meanwhile, 32nd seed Elena Vesnina of Russia has crashed out of the tournament after having suffered defeat in the second round in women's singles. In another women's single match, Poland's Agnieska Radavanska beat Australia's Kaise Delekwa in the second round 6-4, 6-0.In men's doubles match , the Indo-Brazilian pair of Poorab Raja and Marcelo Demoliner crashed out of the tournament in the opening round itself today. The Indo- Taepie pair of Divvij Sharan and Sun Lu Yen will take on British-Luxumbourg pair of Jammy Delgado and Gilais Mooler. In women's doubles opening round today, the Indo-Zimbabwean pair of Sania Mirza and Cara Black will take on Russian-Swiss pair of Vera Jowonareva and Martina Hingis.
