Cricket history was created at Super Sport Park in Centurion today when Sachin Tendulkar posted his 50th Test century in the on-going first Test against South Africa. By achieving the feat, Tendulkar became the first batsman in the 133-year history of Test Cricket to complete a half-century of hundreds. Besides being the only cricketer in the planet to score 50 Test centuries, Tendulkar also holds the record for most number of ODI hundreds. He has so far to his credit 46 centuries in one-day internationals. Tendulkar now has 96 international centuries, the most by any batsman. South Africa, however, are on the verge of winning the opening Test. India were 454 for 8 in their second innings when bad light interrupted the penultimate day's play. Tendulkar was not out on 107 with Sreesanth not out on Three. Earlier, Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni made a fine 90.India had begun the day at their overnight score of 190 for two.
