Ten persons were arrested for indulging in illegal mining of sandstones in Rohtas district of Bihar.

Superintendent of police Manu Maharaj said in Sasaram that on a tip off, a joint team of police and forest department officials conducted raid at Gopi Bigha mines and arrested 10 persons for illegal mining of sandstones.

He added that 4 JCB machines and 4 dumpers were seized from their possession.The SP said that investigation is on in regard to the illegal trade in the area.
