Temperature starts soaring in Punjab

In Punjab, the temperature has started rising after a somewhat cloudy morning at some places.<br/>At present, the holy town Amritsar is the hottest with 39.6 degree Celsius in Punjab and temperature is rising. It sizzled at 44.7 degree Celsius, the maximum in the state, yesterday.<br/>Patiala is 37.6 degree Celsius as per today’s temperature recorded by the Met Deptt. This city was the second hottest with 44.6 degree Celsius, yesterday. The industrial town Ludhiana was also hot at 44.5 degree Celsius.<br/>However, Chandiagrh was hot at 42, yesterday, and is at present getting hotter after recording 38.2 degree Celsius, today.<br/>According to the forecast, dust or thunder storm is expected with light rains at isolated places in Punjab.
